Description

NGC 891 is also known as Caldwell 23, the Silver Sliver Galaxy, and the Outer Limits Galaxy. It is an edge-on unbarred spiral galaxy about 30 million light-years away in the constellation Andromeda. It was discovered by William Herschel on October 6, 1784.

This was shot in LRGB as a Bonus/Lucky Image I took while waiting on M42 to come up last week. It was in perfect position for an easy capture.

Trivia Side Note:  NGC 891 got its "Outer Limits" nick name from being in the credits of said TV show that aired in 1963.

CS friends, Eddie

I also included one of the subs with a possible ISS photobomb?
